PREGNANCY TIMELINE: WEEK 6

These first few weeks are among the most crucial for the baby's growth and development. This week, the baby's vital organs, including the kidneys and liver, are growing and the neural tube, which connects the brain and spinal cord, closes. The eyes are forming and limb buds can be seen. Your baby is about 0.08 to 0.16 inches long from crown-to-rump. If you have an ultrasound, you can see the baby's heartbeat.
