Cancer of the Cervix

Cancer of the cervix is a disease in which cancer (malignant) cells are found in the tissues of the cervix. The successful treatment of cervical cancer is dependent on the stage of the cancer and the health of the patient.

Cancer of the Uterus

The most common form of uterine cancer is adenocarcinoma of the endometrium. This is a curable type of cancer.

Cancer of the Vagina

Cancer of the vagina is rare. It is almost always a squamous cell cancer.

Cancer of the Vulva

Cancer of the vulva is not a common disease. There are about 4,000 new cases each year in the United States.

Dysplasia

Dysplasia is considered a precancerous cell type. However, if the dysplasia is classified as low-grade squamous dysplasia, then about 30% of the time, the abnormal cells will disappear without treatment.

Endometrial Cancer

Cancer of the endometrium, a common kind of cancer in women, is a disease in which cancer cells are found in the lining of the uterus.

Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer is a nonspecific term for a variety of cancers that originate in the ovary. There are about 20 microscopically distinct types.
